PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION
POLITICAL PURPOSE:
To establish a powerful movement for the poor towards the development of their political power
SOCIOECONOMIC PURPOSE:
To obtain a stand for the acquisition of individual power and the advancement of livelihood, environmental awareness and economic development of the poor, with the consideration of equality among genders.
ORGANIZATIONAL PURPOSE:
To enrich, empower and enact its own central dynamism of nations, regions, federations, chapters and local organizations towards the formation of a political and economic union of the poor.

PHILOSOPHIES OF THE ORGANIZATION:
1. Any act towards social change starts with the self.
2. The search for knowledge and individual and social change is a continuous process.
3. The service for the empowerment of the citizens and the contention for the poor's rights and needed services should be fulfilled. It is better to struggle for the acquisition of rights than receive alms.
4. A responsible leader should loyally serve for the organization.
5. Giving value for the organization's activities and familial responsibilities are never separated.
6. Truth and justice shall embody the organization.
7. The unity and cooperation of the poor shall encourage the organization towards the continuity of the struggle and its triumph.
8. Threats and risks are part of the urban poor's life.
